".... my husband took a flight with a yound executive seated next to him. The young man was travelling with his elderly mother, and she looked as if it might be her first time on a flight. At all mealtimes, his mother would collect all the utensils, wipe them carefully and proceed to place them in her handbag. Her son continued chatting with my husband who was seated to his right but his left hand would calmly and mechanically reclaim all the utenils from the bad, and put them back on the tray. I thought, here was a lovely young man, not covering up his embarrassment bu scolding his mother or pretending he didn't know her, but simply put everything right in a manner without being disrespectful to his mother...."

- Me, a Tai Tai??

I have a MAJOR soft spot for old people.. Hunched over body, rough wrinkled faces, hoarse voices, dry crimped up skin and all.
Cliche as it might sound, the number of wrinkes they have on their faces seem to be a testament to the trials and tribulations of their lives.
Plus they all remind me of my Gran - who didn't have an easy life, but passed away peacefully surrounded by people she loved.
